Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Wage: $34.31/hour

About the Role:
We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Pre-Apprentice Lineman-Splicers. This position is designed to prepare you for entry into the Apprentice Lineman-Splicer Program, where you will gain the skills and technical knowledge needed to perform all aspects of line work safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn and practice the fundamentals of line work under the guidance of experienced Lineman-Splicers.
  • Use and maintain ropes, lines, and tools required for line work.
  • Perform ground work such as digging holes, setting poles, installing anchors, and handling materials and equipment.
  • Assist with framing poles and assembling/disassembling components including conductors, transformers, switches, cutouts, lightning arrestors, capacitors, and streetlights.
  • Support safe and efficient operations in all assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Physical Requirements: Must pass a Physical Agility Test.

Other Requirements:ย 

  • Mechanically inclined and eager to learn.
  • Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) as soon as possible; CDL is required before completing the hot-qualified portion of the apprenticeship.
  • DOT certification for driving as required by law.
