General Surgeon opening in John Day, ORLocated in beautiful Grant County, Oregon40 miles from Malheur National Forest3 hour drive to Bend, ORPosition Information:

  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Critical Access Hospital/Surgery Clinic
  • Seeking a general surgeon willing to cover basic rural surgical medicine. Seeking candidates who are well-rounded, grounded and love small communities.
  • -ยฌโ€ Predominantly colonoscopy/upper endoscopy, general surgery: appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia, breast lumpectomy/mastectomy, hysterectomy, bowel resection, tubal ligations, irrigation/drainage under sedation, amputation of toes/foot, trauma surgery, c-section support as necessary if problem arises
  • Qualifications:ยฌโ€ Board Certified preferred, board eligible with experience would be up for consideration.

The District is comprised of a Critical Access Hospital (CAH), Family & Rural Medicine Clinic, Home Health and Hospice, Emergency Medical Services, an Intermediate Care Center and all of the supporting ancillary departments necessary to care for the health and wellness of the community.
