Security Officer at Prairie Meadows

Shift: 3pm-11pm

Days Off: Wednesday/Thursday

Here's what you'd be responsible for:

  • Maintaining security over assigned areas by observing guests and watching for any unlawful or suspicious acts.
  • Safeguarding casino assets and protecting the company, guests, and employees from unknown and anticipated threats.
  • Checking credentials and IDs at access points.
  • Receiving and responding quickly to phone and radio calls.
  • Completing reports for all incidents.
  • Surveying outdoor areas near the racetrack to ensure that guests do not enter restricted areas.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous military, security, or education in these fields desired with two or more year's related experience and/or training preferred. Valid driver's license and safe driving record required. Must meet company insurance requirements. Must be able to read and write routine reports and other correspondence. Must have the ability to speak effectively before groups of guests and employees. Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. is required.
