Part-time/PRN- Respiratory Therapist

Prairie Lakes Healthcare System is a non-profit rural healthcare system serving 10 counties in northeastern South Dakota and west-central Minnesota.
Job Summary
Part-time(0.5 status) or PRN positions available.
Administers respiratory therapy care and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system, under the physician's supervision and by prescription for inpatient and outpatient services.
Wage range: $28.12-$36.00
Responsibilities include:
  • Utilize respiratory-driven protocol
  • Management for ventilator and noninvasive ventilation
  • Medications delivery, Bronchial hygiene, and Volume expansion therapy
  • Smoking cessation and patient education
  • Arterial blood draws (ABGs), Rapid Response, Code Blue, and Trauma Teams
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications
Must possess an Active license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified credentials through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
A degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care Program, Associates or Bachelors
Certification in the American heart association's BLS is required. Certification in ACLS (RQI), PALS (RQI), and NRP within 6 months of hire.
Prairie Lakes Healthcare System has a Drug Free Workplace Policy. An accepted offer will require positive reference checks and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment.
