You will be working onsite in our outpatient office in Hempstead, a vibrant community in New York known for its rich medical facilities and patient diversity. • Assist healthcare professionals with patient evaluations, ensuring accurate assessments by preparing patients and documenting vital medical history.
• Collaborate closely with the medical doctor in developing and implementing tailored treatment plans, under their supervision, to meet the diverse needs of our patients.
• Conduct a variety of basic medical procedures, including measuring vital signs, administering vaccinations, and preparing patients for examinations, all while maintaining patient comfort.
• Maintain patient records diligently, ensuring medical charts are up-to-date with the latest information to facilitate seamless communication among care team members.
• Act as a primary point of contact for patients, providing clear, compassionate communication and addressing concerns or questions to enhance their experience in our facility.
• Monitor patient progress by following up on treatment outcomes and reporting any necessary observations to the medical doctor, contributing to continuous improvement in care.
• Assist in managing office operations, ensuring smooth patient flow, and organizing the office space to support an efficient work environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the office, creating a welcoming atmosphere for patients visiting for their healthcare needs.

In this role, you will interact with a diverse range of patients, including children, adults, and seniors, addressing their healthcare needs with empathy and professionalism. Your ability to connect with individuals from various backgrounds will be critical in ensuring they feel valued and understood throughout their healthcare journey.

• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, emphasizing the importance of academic preparedness in the healthcare field.
• Previous experience in a medical assistant role or completion of a medical assistant training program, equipping you with necessary clinical skills.
• Solid understanding of medical terminology and basic procedures, enabling effective communication and execution of tasks within the healthcare setting.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, underlined by a patient-first approach and ability to create rapport with patients.
• A capacity to work both independently and collaboratively, fostering teamwork and supporting colleagues in developing a productive workplace.

Experience working in an outpatient office environment or familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is highly desirable. Exposure to medical billing and coding practices can also enhance your ability to contribute to the operational aspects of the practice.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $30,000 to $50,000 per year, based on your experience and qualifications.
