While unpaid, this program offers extensive training and professional development opportunities to help you grow as a mental health professional:
- Clinical supervision at no cost.
- Comprehensive training in psychopathology, evidence-based treatments, crisis management, and legal/ethical risk management.
- Opportunities to develop core competencies, including case conceptualization, psychotherapy, and diagnostic skills.
- Diversity and cultural awareness training to better serve a diverse client population.
- Exposure to school-based service delivery and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Valuable professional feedback to help you develop into a successful clinician.
- Provide comprehensive wraparound services to children, adolescents, and families with various diagnostic presentations (e.g., mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, neurodevelopmental disorders).
- Individual and family counseling using evidence-based treatments.
- Collaborate with IEP teams, including consulting on IEP services.
- Maintain administrative oversight of client paperwork, collateral consults, documentation, and caseload management.
- Participate in community-based counseling/psychotherapy with an emphasis on evidence-based practices.
- Enrollment in a Master's program in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Clinical experience with children and/or adolescents preferred.
