Roles & Responsibilities
• Lead performance tuning and optimization efforts across Oracle Exadata-based data platforms and data pipelines.
• Analyze and optimize SQL queries, database objects, and workloads to improve throughput, latency, and scalability.
• Interpret and act on Oracle Explain Plans, AWR, ASH, and other performance diagnostics to resolve complex performance issues.
• Design and recommend scalable and performant data architectures aligned with business and data requirements.
• Partner with data engineers, architects, and application teams to ensure optimal end-to-end performance of data pipelines.
• Provide expertise in handling very large data volumes and high-concurrency environments.
• Support and optimize real-time and nearreal-time processing systems.
• Identify performance bottlenecks proactively and implement preventative design and tuning strategies.
• Establish performance benchmarks, tuning standards, and best practices for data platforms.
Required Qualifications
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata.
• Deep expertise in performance tuning and optimization, including SQL tuning and indexing strategies.
• Solid understanding of Oracle Explain Plans and performance analysis tools (AWR, ASH, SQL Monitor).
• Proven experience working with large-scale data platforms and systems handling massive data volumes.
• Experience designing and optimizing data pipelines for performance and scalability.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data access patterns, and data requirements translation into optimal designs.
• Experience supporting real-time or low-latency data processing systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex performance issues across layers.

• Experience with high-throughput transactional or analytical systems.
• Exposure to hybrid or multi-platform data architectures.
• Experience working closely with application teams to influence performance-aware development.
