This position is based in the Firm's global operations center in Tampa, FL.

General Description:

The Human Resources Performance Management Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, administering, and optimizing performance management programs and processes for both lawyers and business professionals. This role reports to the Assistant Director of Human Resources and works closely with human resources and professional development leadership, practice group and section leaders, and department heads to ensure performance management strategies support business objectives, talent development goals, and a culture of excellence.

The role will oversee performance evaluation processes, goal-setting frameworks, feedback mechanisms, and related technology platforms, while ensuring consistency, compliance, and operational effectiveness. This position will supervise one direct report and serve as a key resource on performance management best practices and employee development.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead the administration and continuous enhancement of performance management programs, processes, and systems for lawyers and business professionals, ensuring alignment with the firm's strategic objectives.

  • Partner with practice group leaders, department heads, human resources and professional development leaders to support performance assessment and talent development.

  • Manage the annual and interim performance review processes for attorneys and business professionals, including timelines, communications, reporting, and system administration.

  • Analyze performance, engagement, and talent data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and provide recommendations to leadership.

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop one direct report responsible for performance management administration and related HR functions. Create and maintain HR policies and procedures related to performance management, ensuring compliance with employment laws and industry best practices.

  • Communicate performance management practices to drive adoption of new initiatives across the organization, ensuring clarity and consistency.

  • Evaluate and implement enhancements to performance management technology and reporting capabilities to improve efficiency, user experience, and decision-making.

  • Research and apply industry benchmarks and emerging trends to ensure the firm's performance management approach remains competitive and innovative.

  • Develop and deliver training and resources for lawyers, supervisors, and business professionals regarding performance expectations, coaching, feedback, and development planning.

  • Special projects and duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, organizational development, or related field.

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in HR roles with a focus on performance management.

  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and administering performance management systems within a law firm or other professional services environment.

  • Experience partnering with senior leaders on talent, performance, and organizational effectiveness initiatives.

  • Prior supervisory or people management experience preferred, including experience leading and developing direct reports.

Preferred Qualifications & Education:

  • Advanced degree and/or HR certifications (e.g., SHRM).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

  • Moderate or advanced keyboard usage.
