Position Overview:

The Operations Assistant & Dispatcher exists to keep MedPro Disposal’s and MP1 Solutions daily field operations running smoothly. This role manages the end-to-end fulfillment of our mailback program, dispatches local routes for maximum efficiency and accuracy, and serves as the primary point of contact for route drivers. Success means service is delivered on time, customer and vendor inquiries are resolved quickly, and operational standards stay high as MedPro and MP1 continues to scale its compliance services across 35,000+ providers nationwide.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with the Director of Operations to support and optimize daily business operations across the team.
  • Manage the end-to-end fulfillment of the mailback program — coordinating with the 3PL provider, tracking shipments, resolving issues, and generating reports.
  • Dispatch and route local operations to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and on-time service delivery.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for route drivers — providing guidance, support, and accountability to drive performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure route drivers adhere to company policies and procedures, maintaining high operational standards across the fleet.
  • Assist with new customer setup and maintain professional communication with customers and vendors — responding promptly to phone and email inquiries.
  • Operate a company vehicle safely and compliantly to pick up medical waste from customer locations when required.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Years of experience: At least 1 year of route dispatch or warehouse operations experience preferred. Minimum 2 years driving trucks or commercial vans with a clean driving record required.
  • Industry background: Previous experience in a business work environment required.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; equivalent experience accepted.
  • Other: Must be US-based; valid driver’s license with clean driving record; able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs; available for occasional Saturday shifts as needed; maintain a professional yet casual appearance; must successfully pass pre-employment screening.

  • Familiarity with healthcare services, medical waste, or related compliance industries.
  • Experience with 3PL fulfillment providers, dispatch / routing software, or fleet management systems.
