Job Description:
Description: The Practice Manager provides direct supervision for the assigned CHC employees and maintains responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the assigned clinic(s) (including clinical and non-clinical operations).
Typical Duties:
  1. In partnership with the Center Medical Director, the Practice Manager is responsible for the planning, implementation and monitoring of the daily practice operations.
  2. Responsible for recruitment, retention and competency of all staff working at the site. Manages practice staff to ensure positive patient/family experience. Establishes staffing schedules that support the clinical program, effective care delivery, and manages costs effectively.
  3. Initiates and supports process improvement activities that enhance the provision of clinical services, improve clinical outcomes and increase patient satisfaction.
  4. Establishes objectives and benchmarks to evaluate operational success for site managed and prepare reports to inform management team of status and progress towards goals.
  5. Builds and supports effective relationships with and between all individuals including staff, physicians, the community, patients, families, volunteers, and colleagues to assure the delivery of safe, quality patient care. Creates and sustains a culture based on trust, mutual respect, and common understanding of needs.
  6. Maintains inter and intra departmental relationships across the network to effectively promote the strategic operational goals of the network.
  7. Participates and collaborates with local community programs as appropriate to JPS strategic goals.
  8. Prepares annual budget ensuring financial stewardship for the facility in both operational and capital acquisition processes. Maintains an adequate system for internal control over financial interactions.
  9. Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
    Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or a health related field from an accredited University OR, in lieu of Bachelor's Degree, the following:
  • 5 plus years of medical office/practice management experience with 3 plus of those years being in a supervisory capacity.

  • Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
  • Solid understanding of physician productivity and professional fee billing.
