What is the difference between Pra vs Pharmacist?
| Aspect | Pra | Pharmacist |
|---|---|---|
| Required Credentials | Pharmacy Assistant Certification or equivalent | Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) |
| Work Environment | Retail pharmacies, hospitals, clinics | Community pharmacies, hospitals, pharmaceutical industry |
| Employer & Industry Usage | Healthcare settings, retail chains | Healthcare, pharmaceutical companies, hospitals |
| Common Search & Comparison | Pra vs Pharmacist | Pharmacist |
The main difference between Pra and Pharmacist lies in their qualifications and responsibilities. Pra typically refers to pharmacy assistants or technicians with certification to support pharmacists. Pharmacists hold advanced degrees and have broader responsibilities, including medication management and patient counseling. While Pra roles focus on assisting and administrative tasks, pharmacists are licensed healthcare professionals responsible for dispensing medications and providing clinical advice.

- Revise and review of PRA documents.
- Follow the guidance of dozens of PRA-dependent applications (such as NEI 18-04) to acquire risk insights from the PRA to inform the design process and licensing basis of projects.
- Develop increasing proficiency in using PRA-related software (e.g. EPRI's Phoenix Architect) in accordance with X-energy procedures, ensuring the correct software version is being used in the manner it was verified, be aware of limitations and restrictions of software, and ensure software is referenced in documents that depend on its use.
- Perform main PRA tasks including event tree and fault tree development, and associated documentation.

- Able to show increasing proficiency interpreting, applying, and assessing Standards.
- Collaborate and communicate with key stakeholders in engineering, project leadership, and across the safety analysis team to provide frequent updates on progress of projects, maintain the correct order of priorities and ability to adapt to change, and raise concerns when there are problems with projects and/or timelines.
