Job description

Drive awareness and consideration for the Ink and Sapphire for Business portfolios to create brand equity and enable growth! These efforts will come to life across brand strategy, advertising, media, and event/sponsorship initiatives. This role will set and operationalize a unified content approach across Ink and Sapphire for Business, spanning SEO, social content, and PR/earned media.

Job Summary:

As a Marketing Content Strategy Vice President, in Small Business Card Integrated Marketing, you will define portfolio-specific content pillars and messaging architecture that are measurable and ensure consistent expression across channels while preserving distinct positioning between the two portfolios. You will set the narrative across launches, seasonal moments, and always-on themes while ensuring that organic content and earned media reinforce product value propositions and customer needs. You will drive a coordinated operating model across COE partner teams: aligning calendars, campaign narratives, and measurement to improve quality, efficiency, and business impact. You will also be a primary steward of brand and reputational considerations in organic channels, partnering closely with Legal/Compliance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own the integrated content strategy for small business cards across Ink and Sapphire for Business, translating portfolio goals into clear channel strategies, prioritized roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
  • Define and govern content pillars that create differentiation between Ink and Sapphire for Business.
  • Lead cross-COE planning and execution orchestration across SEO, organic social, talent, and PR teams, aligning briefs, timelines, and performance.
  • Partner within team to ensure seamlessly coordinated execution in support of advertising and event/sponsorship efforts.
  • Oversee SEO strategy including technical and content SEO priorities, ensuring SEO efforts support both near-term acquisition needs and long-term brand authority, with reporting that ties organic performance to meaningful business outcomes.
  • Oversee social content strategy and execution across organic, creator, and event amplification efforts ensuring social content reflects the same portfolio pillars and proof points used across PR and web experiences.
  • Partner with the Public Relations COE team to drive earned media strategy, story development, spokesperson strategy, press materials, and proactive/reactive issue readiness relevant to small business customers.
  • Establish measurement and learning loops across channels, including KPI definitions, dashboards, test-and-learn agendas, and quarterly business reviews that drive decisions on what to scale, stop, or refine; elevating performance discussions from activity metrics to incremental impact, quality, and risk-managed growth.
  • Management of one (1) Senior Associate.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 7+ years of progressive marketing experience with deep expertise across content strategy, SEO, organic social, and/or earned media
  • Ability to build and govern a differentiated brand narrative across multiple portfolios or sub-brands, translating insights to strategy and operating mechanisms (pillars, content calendars, standards, and performance management) that scale
  • You see the bigger picture and can make strategic connections across channels and programs, identifying ways to maximize integrated opportunities across the marketing ecosystem
  • Strong track record of cross-functional leadership-aligning brand, product marketing, channel teams, analytics, and legal/compliance stakeholders-while driving measurable outcomes and managing reputational risk in external-facing channels
  • Fluent in performance analytics for organic channels, including the ability to define KPIs, diagnose drivers, and communicate executive-ready insights with clear implications for investment and prioritization
  • Previous people management experience, paired with a passion for mentorship, talent development, and empowering individuals through a collaborative leadership style

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Experience operating in complex matrixed organizations with COE partners, mastery of the concept of influence without authority.
  • Financial services and/or regulated category experience with demonstrated rigor around claims, disclosures, and governance in public channels.
  • Small business/B2B audience familiarity.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a desire to work hard, support others, and help create an environment where people enjoy collaborating and doing great work together.
