Sheepdog Public Safety & Security is a locally owned and operated North Carolina security company committed to professionalism, integrity, and providing real value to our clients. We believe security officers should be more than a warm body-they should be observant, reliable, and take pride in their work.
We are currently hiring Part-Time Security Officers for positions in the Banner Elk area.
Position Overview
Security Officers are responsible for maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring assigned locations, controlling access when required, conducting patrols, and documenting incidents.
Many of our positions involve access control, gatehouse operations, residential communities, commercial properties, special events, and customer service-oriented security work.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor assigned property and maintain a professional security presence
  • Observe and report suspicious activity
  • Control access to private communities, facilities, or event locations
  • Conduct patrols as assigned
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident reports
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, guests, and clients
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and emergency services when needed
  • Follow company policies and post orders
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to obtain or maintain North Carolina Security Officer Registration
