PPS Coordinator - Inpatient Rehabilitation
Description:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Registered Nursing by the Nursing Board of Georgia, ASN or higher
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
Experience preferred but not required, on-the-job training will be provided.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Strong clinical assessment skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effective problem solving and critical thinking skills, knowledge of electronic medical records.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The PPS (Prospective Payment System) Coordinator/Case Manager will be responsible for coordinating patient care, managing discharge planning, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing accurate documentation and reimbursement processes within inpatient rehab. This role serves as a liaison between patients, families and physicians, therapists, nursing staff and insurance providers to ensure outcomes and appropriate reimbursement. PPS coordinator will complete and maintain accurate IRF-PAI assessments, ensure compliance with CMS regulations and Medicare guidelines, coordinate data collection and documentation required for reimbursement.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sedentary work, requires sitting most of the time, but will involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some light lifting is required. Motor coordination, manual dexterity, and near - visual acuity are also required with or without prescription lenses/contacts.
