Ppc Flex information

What is a PPC Flex?

PPC Flex roles typically refer to flexible positions within Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising teams. These roles often involve managing online ad campaigns across platforms like Google Ads or Bing, but with flexible work arrangements such as remote work or adaptable schedules. A PPC Flex specialist may analyze campaign performance, optimize keywords and ad copy, and adjust budgets to maximize ROI, all while benefiting from non-traditional work hours or locations. This flexibility appeals to professionals seeking a better work-life balance while still engaging in digital marketing.

What are some common challenges faced by PPC specialists working in a flexible or remote setting?

PPC Specialists in flexible or remote roles often encounter challenges such as maintaining clear communication with clients and team members, staying updated on rapidly changing ad platform policies, and managing multiple campaigns across different time zones. It can also be difficult to separate work and personal life when working remotely, so strong organizational skills and self-motivation are essential. However, leveraging collaboration tools and regular check-ins can help ensure team alignment and successful campaign outcomes.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a PPC specialist, and why are they important?

To excel as a PPC Specialist, strong analytical abilities, marketing knowledge, and experience with pay-per-click advertising platforms like Google Ads are essential, often supported by a degree in marketing or a related field. Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, and certifications like Google Ads Certification is highly valued. Outstanding attention to detail, adaptability, and strong communication skills help professionals optimize campaigns and collaborate with teams or clients. These competencies are vital for driving high ROI in digital advertising, ensuring effective campaign management, and achieving business objectives.

Job description

About Advocate

Advocate is transforming how Americans access government benefits. Our mission is to drive the time between need and relief down to zero.

We combine proprietary AI‑powered technology with expert human care and compassion, providing an unparalleled experience for claimants and supporting government partners by reducing administrative burdens and enabling more efficient eligibility determinations.

Tech Ops at Advocate

The Tech Ops team serves as the connective tissue of the organization, ensuring technology, marketing, and operations remain synchronized as we scale. We are not an IT support desk; we are front‑line builders who work alongside internal users who serve claimants.

  • Short‑Term Agility: Keep systems humming and patch production roadblocks to avoid friction for claimants.
  • Long‑Term Scalability: Observe patterns, build scalable technology solutions, and eliminate recurring operational challenges.
The Opportunity

We are hiring two Product Engineers. Key projects you will likely own include:

  • The End‑to‑End Journey Workbench: Build a centralized internal workbench to visualize the entire claimant journey, track onboarding steps, Social Security submissions, case data updates, medical events, and communication touchpoints, and uncover pipeline performance.
  • External Claimant Portal: Design and implement a portal allowing claimants to pull real‑time case status, push medical evidence, and receive critical updates, from architecture to user adoption.
  • Growth Engine: Scale marketing operations by building data warehouse pipelines, triggering outbound communications via platforms like Iterable, integrating with PPC platforms for conversion tracking, and ensuring robust attribution models.
  • AI‑Driven Developer Velocity: Create a pipeline that transforms change requests from Slack, uses LLMs with full repository context, and auto‑opens pull requests for engineer review.
  • Front‑Line Firefighting & System Resilience: Field ad‑hoc requests and production fires, balancing immediate fixes with refactoring for long‑term stability.
  • Next‑Gen Platform Migration: Lead migration and integration of current tech stack onto new infrastructure for upcoming government benefits, ensuring zero downtime.
  • Operational Digitization & Automation: Digitize and automate physical mail processing, automate complex government forms, and establish deep observability across systems.
Requirements
  • Extreme Ownership: Take proactive responsibility from gut feeling to production success, including OPEX, user adoption, and long‑term stability.
  • User‑Obsessed Iteration: Engage users regularly, gather feedback, and build what they truly need, using system data as the primary north star.
  • Observability Over Guesswork: Implement deep observability in every system, turning data into the driving force for roadmaps.
  • Massive Imperfect Action: Prioritize shipping MVPs over perfect iterations and iterate quickly.
  • Optimistic Problem Solvers: Collaborate, iterate, and ship through challenges without becoming disheartened.
  • "Camera On" Mindset: Thrive in a high‑availability, highly collaborative environment, staying available and communicating transparently.
  • Technical Excellence in the Age of AI: Provide foundational CS principles and architectural oversight, ensuring systems are scalable, maintainable, and observable.
  • Support‑Build Balance: Maintain a healthy codebase and refactor systems while building new features.
  • Trust and Feedback Over Process: Value autonomy, give and receive direct feedback, and act on intuition and data.
Tech Stack
  • Full‑stack (TypeScript): TypeScript, React, Next.js, Nx, Node.js, GraphQL.
  • Data: PostgreSQL, TypeORM, Redis.
  • Infrastructure: AWS, Terraform, Docker.
  • Integrations: Salesforce, Zendesk.
  • Marketing: Customer.io/Iterable, Webflow, paid ads (Google, Meta, Microsoft), conversion tracking.
  • AI: LLM integration in production – prompting, tool use, RAG/agents, evaluation, safety, and when to use AI vs other approaches.
  • Quality & Observability: Sentry, PostHog, Playwright.
  • Data/Analytics: Python, Databricks.
Benefits
  • Comprehensive Health & Wellness: Full suite of medical, dental, and vision plans for you and your family, with $0 premium options and FSA/HSA accounts.
  • Time to Recharge: 15 days of accrued PTO, 11 paid federal holidays, and dedicated sick leave.
  • Family‑First Support: 8 weeks of paid parental leave for all parents, plus 2‑week flex time transition.
  • Professional Growth: $500 annual learning stipend and 2 dedicated Growth Days per year.
  • Flexible Remote Culture: Work from anywhere; use Slack and Gather for collaboration and host up to six in‑person offsites per year.
  • Compensation & Ownership: Market‑competitive salaries, performance raises, and equity grants.
