Emergent Technologies Inc. is actively seeking experienced Cybersecurity Engineers with a minimum of eleven (11) years of relevant experience supporting secure, mission-critical environments. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong technical expertise, operational discipline, and the ability to thrive in high-visibility, fast-paced settings.
Qualified candidates will possess experience in the following areas:
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems

  • Experience with system hardening, patch management, and configuration management tools and processes
  • Hands-on experience supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF) or related accreditation frameworks such as FedRAMP, NIST 800-53B, and A&A

  • Proficiency in scripting languages including PowerShell, Python, and Bash

  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Rapid7), SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk), and endpoint protection solutions
  • Experience performing routine patching and platform reboots across enterprise hosting environments
  • Ability to operate effectively in a high-profile, fast-paced environment

  • Experience testing and deploying infrastructure as code (IaC) using DevOps and automation tools, including:
    • Jenkins
    • GitHub
    • Ansible
    • PowerShell
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly
  • Provide operations and maintenance (O&M) support for hosting platform solutions
  • Conduct root cause analysis for system performance and operational issues
  • Monitor system performance metrics to identify optimization opportunities and report anomalies
  • Provide after-hours and emergency engineering support as required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, CEH, GSEC, or cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Security, Azure Security Engineer)
  • Experience working in air-gapped environments or supporting classified systems

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and sprint-based development cycles
  • Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and working with container security technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust architectures and identity and access management (IAM) strategies
