Job description

Position : PowerBuilder Developer
Req ID: 122951
Location : Lansing, Michigan, 48917
Remote or On-site: Candidates MUST be currently local to the Greater Lansing area (commutable distance). Manager is not interested in candidates who will need to relocate for this role. Will need to be onsite starting day 1 for hybrid work schedule which is in-office 2 days a week. NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION.
Estimated Duration: 1 year with possible extension
Summary:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline
  • PowerBuilder Development (version 7 or higher)
  • Work in a hybrid office and/or home environment.
  • Willingness to learn.

Experience
  • PowerBuilder Developer : Research legacy PowerBuilder source code to document the steps the application uses with data. Current experience : 5 Years
  • T-SQL Query Writing : Resource must have a high level of SQL query writing skills to write complex queries to pull data from a Sybase and MS SQL Server database.
  • Must have experience developing processes to extract and manipulate data to support data migration and data cleansing of application data. : 10 Years
  • Data Management : Must have experience in performing data profiling, data mapping, data manipulation, validation, and analysis. : 10 Years
  • Source Control : Must have experience working with source control technologies such as TFS/Azure DevOps, or GIT : 5 Years
  • Unit Testing : Must have experience documenting and performing unit testing to support program changes. : 10 Years
  • Documentation : Must have experience creating, updating, and maintaining documentation for programs, system specs, and flow diagrams. : 10 Years
  • Testing : Must be able to work with the client and/or Business Analyst to support test scenarios. : 5 Years
  • Production Support : Analyze and document identified problems to determine root cause and provide root cause analysis. : 5 Years
  • Change Management : Follow change management procedures and provide input to execute changes. : 5 Years
