Job Title: PowerBuilder Developer w/.Net

Location: Lansing, MI

Duration: 6 Months

Skills Required 

The Application Software Engineer must have the following skills and expertise:

Application Software Engineer with 8 or more years of demonstrable working experience in application software design, development, and implementation of medium-to-large scale web-based systems and applications.

The ability to lead a team of technical and business experts in: a. analysis and design of complex business requirements,

development of the solutions utilizing PowerBuilder, .NET (ASP, C#), HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL (stored procedures),

testing and implementation of the developed solutions, d. support and maintenance of existing and the developed solutions.   

Skills Preferred  The Application/Software Engineer is preferred to have the following skills and expertise: a) The ability to develop applications utilizing PowerBuilder, .NET (ASP, C#), HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL, in an enterprise environment. b) Ability to conduct training & information sessions, communicate at a level appropriate to the audience, make oral and written reports and presentations.   

Experience Required  The Application Software Engineer must have the following experience:

Application Software Engineer with 8 or more years of demonstrable working experience in application software design, development, and implementing of medium-to-large scale web-based systems and applications.

Eight years' experience programming in client/server applications

Five years' experience analyzing business requirements, generating project specifications and in turn developing code, and applying knowledge of computer programming techniques and computer languages

Five years unit testing and performing peer reviews of developed code to insure conformity to standards and design best practices.

Five years' experience programming in SQL and/or Transact-SQL.

Three years' experience programming in projects using PowerBuilder.

Three years' experience programming in projects using C# and JScript.

Three years' experience developing complex computer systems using C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, XML and Web Services.

Two years' experience programming in the Microsoft .NET framework 3/3.5/4.

Two years previous management, supervisory, or team leader experience is required.

Experience developing complex computer systems using Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, 2010, and/or 2012.

Experience participating as a programmer/analyst in projects using CMM/CMMI Level 3 methods and practices.

Expert level skills in MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint

Excellent verbal and written communication skills   

Additional Information

Development and maintenance of automated test suites using SILK automation tools (UI and Performance test suites using SILK tools)

Development and execution of comprehensive test plans and scripts.

Review test output and document results including logging and following up on identified problems.

Prepare Test Coverage metrics for automated test suites

Assist in the role of technical expert for the Electronic Payments applications.

Represent CBAF on work groups; make significant contributions to projects and work group initiatives.

Contribute to the development of business and user requirements for existing and/or new Electronic Payment applications.

Identify and implement technology-based business process and reporting improvements.

Stay abreast of testing techniques.
