Enterprise and Operational Risk Management (EORM) effectively identifies, measures, and manages risk across all subsidiaries and affiliates to support Schwab’s strategic and business objectives. The Risk Technology and Application Management team within EORM manages several risk management technology areas and applications for the company, including a growing number of technology products that support risk programs across Corporate Risk Management including cryptocurrency. 

What you’ll do: 

The Manager position is an individual contributor role within the Risk Technology and Application Management organization supporting Digital Asset risk applications and AI enablement. This opportunity will require a dynamic and engaging professional to further support improvement of Schwab’s current state product management practices, while enabling our future state risk frameworks, processes, and associated technologies to be realized. This position provides a high-visibility opportunity to influence innovation, Agile adoption, and implement business-critical change in a rapidly evolving regulatory environment. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Act as a Product Owner for the Scrum teams that develop the Corporate Risk Management technology solutions that you are accountable for: 
  • Assist in developing a strategy and roadmap to evolve risk management crypto platforms to support Corporate Risk Management and firm business objectives. 
  • Serving as subject matter expert for business partners and technology, working through the Crypto Risk application enhancements, issues or questions related to applications 
  • Assist with onboarding additional risk technology products as part of the Corporate Risk Management product centralization effort. 
  • Distill MVPs and iterative deliverables from long-term product visions and goals, focusing on risk and compliance transformation. 
  • Champion the near-term product vision, ensuring alignment with Schwab’s strategic goals and regulatory requirements. 
  • Oversee the product lifecycle from concept to launch, including user research with risk and compliance teams, requirements gathering, and go-to-market strategy. 
  • Work with CRM Strategy, Planning and Analytics to Develop and manage requirements for metrics to capture product adoption 
  • Partner with risk stakeholders to identify impactful projects and define evaluation strategies for measuring and monitoring the quality of AI output in risk and compliance contexts. 
  • Understand and implement vendor hosted AI solutions to advance the future of risk applications 
  • Research, analyze and process data from applications for audit, regulatory exams or other asks 
What you have

Required Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of product management/business experience related to Cryptocurrency and risk functionalities 
  • 2+ years as a technical product owner 
  • 3+ years of experience with bank, brokerage, or financial services 
  • Demonstrable understanding of generative AI technology, architecture, and terminology including LLMs, RAG, system prompts, agentic, etc. 
  • Experience using/building generative AI solutions, ideally in risk, compliance, or cyber domains. 
  • Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability in communicating with different business partners 
  • Self-motivated and able to bring projects to conclusion 
  • Highly responsive, leveraging ability to multi-task, work efficiently and meet tight deadlines 
  • Sound judgment, planning, project management and organization skills 
  • Demonstrate business acumen and the ability to apply technology solutions to solve business problems 
  • Bachelor’s degree required 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of product management/business experience related to Cryptocurrency and risk functionalities 
  • Advanced programming experience utilizing Python and SQL 
  • Knowledge of evolving crypto regulations and enforcement typologies 
  • Risk Management experience including AML, Fraud, and/or Sanctions 
  • Understanding of technology data structures and reporting tools 
  • Knowledge of PowerApps  
  • Experience building Agentic workflows (e.g., with Copilot Studio, Vertex AI Agent builder etc.). 
  • Familiarity with tools such as Notabene, Chainalysis or TRM Labs is a plus
