Job description

We are looking for a skilled Power BI Developer to join our Business Intelligence team in the energy sector. You will design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that drive operational decisions across the organization. You will work closely with data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate complex data into clear, actionable visuals.
 

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in DAX (calculated measures, time intelligence, filter context).
  • Experience with Power Query / M language for data transformation.
  • Solid understanding of relational data modeling (star schema, snowflake schema).
  • Ability to write intermediate to advanced SQL queries for data extraction and validation.
  • Experience connecting Power BI to cloud and on-premises data sources via gateways.
  • Familiarity with Power BI Service administration: workspaces, apps, capacity, row-level security.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric (lakehouses, OneLake, Fabric pipelines, Direct Lake mode).
  • Exposure to Azure Data Factory or similar ETL/pipeline tooling.
  • Background in the energy, utilities, or oil & gas industry.
  • Microsoft certifications: PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) or DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer).
  • Experience with Python or R for data prep feeding into Power BI.
