Sr. Engineer - Infrastructure & Platform Services (Microsoft 365 / Exchange)
Location: Henderson, NV /Irving, TX
Job Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure & Platform Engineer with deep expertise in Exchange Online, Hybrid Exchange, Microsoft 365, and Email Security. This is a hands-on Level 3 engineering role focused on supporting and optimizing enterprise messaging environments. The ideal candidate is a technical expert, independent problem solver, and strong communicator who can quickly contribute as a senior peer on an experienced team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and support Exchange Online and Hybrid Exchange environments.
  • Troubleshoot mail flow, connectors, transport rules, message delivery, and hybrid configurations.
  • Manage and support Microsoft 365 services in a large enterprise environment.
  • Administer email security solutions such as Proofpoint, Mimecast, Defender for Office 365, or EOP.
  • Investigate security threats, quarantine issues, phishing attempts, and policy-related incidents.
  • Utilize PowerShell for Exchange and M365 administration, troubleshooting, and automation.
  • Support Power Automate / Power Platform workflows and administration.
  • Handle escalations, incidents, operational support, and project work.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

Required Skills
  • Deep expertise in Exchange Online and Hybrid Exchange.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 / Office 365 administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Proofpoint or similar email security platforms.
  • Solid PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
  • Knowledge of mail flow, message trace, connectors, transport rules, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
  • Exposure to Power Automate / Power Platform.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID; Intune experience is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Ideal Candidate
  • Senior/L3 engineer with ownership of complex messaging environments.
  • Experienced in both operational support and project delivery.
  • Self-driven, consultative, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
