Job description

One Tech Engineering is searching for an Engineer for a position located in Platteville, Colorado. The Engineer will provide engineering support for capital project execution.

The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have 5 years of relevant experience in power plant engineering, plant engineering, reliability engineering, or a comparable industrial facility.

Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Conduct design reviews and maintain design basis accountability for assigned systems.
  • Provide technical oversight and engineering support for capital projects, including new combustion turbine projects (Units 7 & 8).
  • Review technical inquiries, drawings, P&IDs, and engineering documentation to ensure compliance with engineering standards and site requirements.
  • Support capital project execution by providing technical feedback, assisting with project scoping, and resolving engineering issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with operations, project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project planning and execution.

Requirements of the Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in power plant engineering, plant engineering, reliability engineering, or a comparable industrial facility.
  • Strong understanding of power plant equipment and operations.
  • Experience in combined-cycle and/or fossil power generation facilities.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting technical design reviews and reviewing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Experience collaborating across multiple disciplines, including operations, project management, engineering, and contractors.
  • Familiarity with simple-cycle combustion turbine projects is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
