Job description

Job Title: Power I&C Technician
Location: Granbury, TX
Company Overview: Technical Diagnostic Services (TDS), a TechPro Power Group company, based in Fort Worth, TX, has been delivering industry-leading service solutions for over 25 years that empower its customers to safely start up and optimize the performance of their facilities' mechanical, electrical, and controls systems. TDS provides mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control construction, testing, and start-up and commissioning services to the Power Generation, Oil & Gas/ Petrochemical, Heavy Process, and other Industrial end markets.
We are a dynamic and rapidly growing company in search of a highly skilled Industrial I&C Technician to join our team to support a major outage on a combined-cycle power plant in Central, Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble, construct, install, and maintain industrial instrumentation and digital control systems & related infrastructure according to specifications.
  • Safely use hand and power tools, metering equipment, and precision instruments.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects within defined timelines.
  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Instrumentation & Controls Technician in an industrial environment with a focus on the assembly, construction, installation, and maintenance/ troubleshooting of heavy industrial instrumentation and controls equipment.
  • Strong electrical aptitude, understanding of power systems and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5+ years' Experience in Industrial Instrumentation and Controls construction and/ or maintenance within Power Generation Facilities/ preferably combined-cycle plants.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific electrical code, regulations, and/ or standards.

Duration: 40+ days (may extend)
Shift: Dayshift
Pay-rate: Based Upon Experience
Overtime: Yes, 1.5 on all O/T hours
Per Diem: Yes, $145/day x 7 days per week
Mob/ Demob: Yes, $400/ each way
Start Date: Thursday 02/22/2025

Requirements
Physical Requirements:
This job involves both indoor and outdoor work. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
  • Lift, carry and/or move up to 75 pounds repeatedly.
  • Climb ladders, staircases, step stools, stand, walk, sit, and operate vehicles for extended periods.
  • Bend, stoop, crawl and work in awkward positions or confined spaces for several hours.

The employee may occasionally be required to:
