The Opportunity

The AI Program Manager - Power Delivery & Grid will lead the acceleration and deployment of cutting-edge AI-enabled tools across our Distributed Infrastructure portfolio (Transmission, Substation, Distribution, Battery Energy Storage, Network & Communications). They will also sell and manage the execution of client projects to build power delivery assets with the assistance of AI tools.

This role is a hybrid leadership position, balancing strategic growth initiatives (approximately 50%) with project management execution (approximately 50%).

This role will lead initiatives to strengthen our Distributed Infrastructure solutions. This individual will operate at the intersection of engineering, technology, and business strategy-partnering with cross-functional teams to translate emerging capabilities into scalable, high-value solutions that improve engineering efficiency, quality, and competitiveness and execute complex EPC and services projects. The successful candidate will influence both near-term financial performance and long-term solution scalability, while maintaining strong accountability for project delivery, safety, quality, and commercial outcomes. The role will require strong influence across teams, comfort navigating ambiguity, and the ability to challenge conventional approaches to unlock transformational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Growth & Strategic Leadership (50%).

The AI Program Manager - Power Delivery & Grid will act as a Solution Growth Leader, driving growth and strengthening Distributed Infrastructure execution through AI-enabled tools.

AI Solution Leadership & Deployment

  • Lead AI-enabled tool initiatives across Distributed Infrastructure, focusing on Overhead Transmission Line, Substation, and BESS design.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert guiding technical direction, prioritization, and implementation.
  • Partner with engineering, digital, and operations teams to ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with project execution and growth strategies.
  • Drive adoption by integrating tools into standard workflows and removing barriers.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence

  • Influence stakeholders across engineering, business development, digital, and operations without direct authority.
  • Align perspectives to drive clarity, decision-making, and progress in complex environments.
  • Facilitate collaboration between SMEs, developers, and project teams.

Innovation & Strategy

  • Develop and refine the roadmap for AI-enabled design and execution tools in Distributed Infrastructure.
  • Translate industry trends and project challenges into actionable initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve speed, cost, quality, and differentiation.
  • Develop business cases for investment.

Thought Leadership & Market Engagement

  • Contribute to internal and external thought leadership in AI-enabled grid infrastructure.
  • Support presentations, white papers, and client discussions.
  • Engage with clients, vendors, and industry partners.
  • Present at conferences and forums.
  • Support internal training and knowledge sharing.

Business Development Support

  • Support BD aligned with Distributed Infrastructure growth strategy.
  • Integrate AI-enabled value propositions into pursuits for transmission and substation projects.
  • Collaborate with sellers and delivery teams to develop client-focused solutions.
  • Participate in seller/doer efforts to identify and pursue new work.
  • Build relationships with OEMs and strategic partners.
  • Maintain professional profiles and skills data in internal systems.

Project & Program Execution (50%).

Serve as a Project/Program Manager for select transmission line EPC and services projects.

  • Manage projects from execution through closeout and commercial operation.
  • Own financial performance, including cost control, earned value, and margin protection.
  • Develop and execute delivery strategies, schedules, and plans.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction to resolve issues.
  • Manage risks, safety, quality, and compliance.
  • Lead claims and commercial recovery as needed.
  • Act as an escalation point and advisor on project health.
  • Apply quality management procedures across projects.
Management Responsibilities
Acts as a project manager. Among responsibilities is management of a project team. The individual comprising this team may vary by project.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience including high-voltage, medium-voltage, and low-voltage substations.
  • Experience in multiple phases of project execution.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant degree.
  • PE, P.Eng or equivalent professional license.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
