Scope of Position
We are seeking a versatile Power BI Administrator & Developer to take ownership of our Power BI ecosystem. In this dual role, your primary responsibility will be executing the governance policy, security, and maintenance of our Power BI tenant and Premium/Fabric capacities. When the platform is running smoothly, you will pivot into a Developer role, collaborating with business units to design, build, and optimize impactful Power BI reports and dashboards. The ideal candidate is a platform gatekeeper who can also roll up their sleeves to write DAX, build data models, and help drive our self-service BI strategy forward.
This role reports to the VP, Global Data & Analytics, and will be located in Andover, MA, Dallas, TX or remote.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage, configure, and maintain overall Power BI tenant settings, feature switches, and Premium/Fabric capacity allocations.
  • Oversee the creation, approval, and organization of workspaces. Manage content promotion across deployment pipelines.
  • Implement and enforce security models, including Row-Level Security (RLS) and integration with Azure AD groups.
  • Maintain On-Premises Data Gateways, monitor data refresh schedules, and troubleshoot capacity bottlenecks or report performance issues.
  • Translate business requirements into visually intuitive, high-performing Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Design robust, scalable data models, and optimized DAX calculations.
  • Audit existing business-created reports to optimize slow Dax queries, heavy data models, and inefficient visual layouts.
  • Has experience in business domains such as; Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Sales, etc.
  • Able to establish or translate KPI's or metrics to identify success or failure easily

Required Qualifications
  • Experience managing Power BI tenants, workspaces, capacities, and enterprise gateways.
  • Experience developing complex Power BI reports, utilizing DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling best practices.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Office 365 groups, and modern data warehouse concepts.
  • Familiarity with Power BI REST API for automating administrative tasks is a strong plus.
  • 10 years of Power BI Developer and Administrator experience
  • Functional Experience: SAP, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Finance experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, business analytics, computer science, information technology/computer information systems or related major is required.
  • Ability to shift mindsets seamlessly between platform administration and creative, user-focused report design.
  • Strong communication skills to clearly explain governance rules to business users while also gathering report requirements.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills for both administrative errors (refresh failures, gateway drops) and development bugs (DAX logic, slow queries).
  • Ability to work well and collaborate with team members to deliver customer value.

General Applicable Company Competencies
  • Commitment to Watts' values of integrity, accountability, continuous improvement and innovation, and transparency.
  • Punctuality and dependability.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work priorities and stressful conditions.
  • Adherence to all personnel policies, procedures, and standards of process as implemented by Watts.
  • Maintain productive and collaborative relationships with other Watts employees.
  • Adherence to Watts' seven cultural beliefs: Growth Mindset, Customer-Focused Innovation, Constant Communication, Clear Goals, Collaborate Globally, Be Inclusive, and Take Action.

Working Conditions
While performing the job duties, you will be working in an office environment. You may be required to work in the office at the Dallas, TX or North Andover, MA location.
