Job description

Power BI Analyst role - As a member of the Global Network team in the Infrastructure & Delivery Shared Services organization this position will be responsible for developing and fulfilling reporting needs for network products and services. The Analyst will collaborate with Product owners and teams to understand requirements for information and then create new or modify existing reports and dashboards to deliver against those needs. Candidates must have strong data visualization skills, experience developing highly complex reports and presentations based on data from multiple sources and have a passion for telling stories with data. This is a technical role that will require collaboration with multiple Global Technology teams. Expertise in report development using Power BI is required.
Required
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/certifications
• 5+ years' experience in Information Technology (IT) and/or analytics role that include
• 3+ years' experience as a Business Intelligence developer (Power BI)
• 2+ years' experience working with large and complex data models
• Design, develop and maintain reports and dashboards primarily in Power BI. Reports will have multiple data sources, complex queries, views, stored procedures, and automation features. Other analytical tools such as Excel and ServiceNow are also utilized.
• Collaborate with Delivery Product Owners and Product Managers to elicit and document business requirements for metrics, report design, and dashboards. Translate business requirements into technical reporting specifications and develop wireframes.
• Lead reporting design reviews (minimum viable product) to stakeholders to validate requirements
• Develop, execute, and document test plans for Power BI reports and dashboards
• Performance tune Power BI reports and dashboards, recommend and implement tuning techniques
• Provide technical support for existing reports, dashboards, or other tools
• Perform ongoing monitoring and refinement of reports
• Troubleshoot data quality issues and defects to determine root cause
• Seeks opportunities to standardize and automate data calculations to enable efficient and consistent reporting.
• Lead development of design methodology, and standards for reports and dashboards for iT Delivery
• Define metrics on report and dashboard usage
• Supports governance of data in the reporting platform ensuring users have proper access to data, reports and dashboards
• Explore new tools and methods to continuously improve the Reporting & Metrics teams' capabilities and assist to establish a center of excellence
• Complete special projects, as assigned
