  • Present analysis results and explain the “why” behind the data

Business Intelligence Development

  • Design and develop Power BI dashboards (end-to-end)
  • Define and maintain KPIs and reporting metrics aligned to claims operations
  • Support transition from Excel-based reporting to Power BI

Data Management & Validation

  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and analysis
  • Perform data validation and support user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of reporting outputs

Data Integration & Support

  • Work with internal and external data sources, including claims systems and vendors
  • Assist with integrating new data sources during system changes or acquisitions
  • Support reporting access and provide basic user training as needed

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience with Power BI, including building dashboards end-to-end
    (approximately 20+ dashboards preferred)
  • Advanced SQL skills for querying, data analysis, and validation
  • Experience working with data warehouses or reporting environments

Domain Experience

  • Claims experience required
    • Property insurance preferred
    • Healthcare or other claims experience acceptable

Business & Communication Skills

  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders
  • Ability to gather requirements and present insights clearly
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Experience

  • 4–8+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or reporting roles
  • Proven ability to balance technical execution with business engagement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in claims operations prior to moving into analytics
  • Experience delivering insights and recommendations (not just reports)
  • Familiarity with claims KPIs, workflows, and processes

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $90,000 – $105,000 (flexible based on experience)
  • 5% annual bonus
  • Comprehensive benefits beginning Day 1
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and additional company benefits

Work Environment

  • Fully remote position
  • Standard business hours (primarily Eastern or Central Time)

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate has experience in claims and has transitioned into analytics, bringing both business understanding and technical expertise. This individual is comfortable working with stakeholders, interpreting data, and delivering insights that drive decisions.
