Job Summary:
Client is seeking an experienced MS Power Platform Developer to support the Division of Public Health, providing primary support for the Health Hazard Control Unit (HHCU) within the Environmental Health section. The selected candidate will design, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade applications and automation solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem. This role focuses on building scalable business applications, workflow automation, and integrated solutions that improve operational efficiency and streamline business processes across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy solutions using Power Apps (Canvas Apps & Model-Driven Apps), Power Automate, and Dataverse
Create automated workflows to improve business efficiency and replace manual processes
Build, configure, and optimize Dataverse tables, relationships, business rules, and logic Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365, Azure Services, SQL Server, REST APIs, and third-party systems
Develop custom connectors, enterprise data models, and application forms
Troubleshoot application issues, workflow failures, and performance bottlenecks
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Maintain technical documentation including design specifications, architecture diagrams, and user guides
Follow best practices for Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), environment strategy, governance, and security
Configure and manage security roles, DLP policies, and administrative controls to ensure compliance
Support ongoing enhancements, maintenance, and optimization of Power Platform applications.
Required Skills:
8+ years of experience in Microsoft Power Platform development and implementation
7+ years of experience with Power Apps, Power Virtual Agents, and Dataverse
Strong experience building Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps
Experience with Power Automate workflow development and automation
Strong knowledge of Dataverse architecture, tables, relationships, and business rules
Strong understanding of SQL database structures
Advanced SQL development and database integration skills
Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with REST APIs
Experience integrating applications with Microsoft 365 and Azure Services
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and in collaborative team environments
Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400) or higher certification
Experience with enterprise application development and automation initiatives
Experience implementing governance, compliance, and security best practices within Power Platform environments
Familiarity with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes
