Welcome!
We are seeking an experienced D365 F&O Application Developer to lead technical design, development, and implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations solutions. This role requires deep expertise in X++ development, Azure cloud services, and DevOps practices to deliver scalable, high-performance ERP solutions that drive business transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Development & Customization
  • Design, build, and maintain customizations using X++, extensions, event handlers, form patterns, and classes
  • Develop and optimize Data Entities, batch frameworks, and system automation tools
  • Implement integrations using OData, REST APIs, Custom Services, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure Function Apps
  • Build Power Platform solutions (Power Automate, Power Apps) integrated with D365 F&O

DevOps & ALM
  • Manage build and release pipelines using Azure DevOps (ADO)
  • Perform code merges, conflict resolution, and branch management across Dev, Test, and Production environments
  • Deploy packages across environments and ensure smooth Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
  • Conduct environment refreshes, data copy-downs, and coordinate with Microsoft Support for environment issues

Support & Optimization
  • Provide L2/L3 technical support and troubleshooting for production incidents, integration failures, and performance issues
  • Perform in-depth root cause analysis and implement long-term, scalable fixes
  • Monitor system performance and optimize code, SQL queries, and batch jobs
  • Support UAT cycles, bug fixing, and production validation

Collaboration & Leadership
  • Work closely with business users, functional consultants, product owners, and cross-functional teams
  • Conduct technical workshops, requirement discussions, and solution walkthroughs
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions with clear documentation
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers
  • Prepare Technical Design Documents (TDDs), deployment documentation, and architecture diagrams/

Required Qualifications
Experience
  • 6+ years of IT experience with 4+ years hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O / AX development
  • Proven experience with ISV solutions: Avalara, Redmaple, DynaRent (or equivalent)
  • Track record of leading technical workstreams and mentoring development teams

Technical Skills
  • Expert-level X++ programming and object-oriented design patterns
  • Deep knowledge of D365 F&O extensions, event handlers, and customization frameworks
  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and branch strategies
  • Proficiency in Data Management Framework (DMF) and complex data migration
  • Hands-on experience with Azure services: Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault
  • Power Platform: Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse integration
  • Solid understanding of ERP functional areas: Finance, SCM, Procurement, Manufacturing, Warehouse

Architecture & Best Practices
  • Experience with microservices-style integration architecture and API-first design
  • Strong debugging, testing, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Knowledge of D365 Cloud Architecture, performance tuning, and LCS tools
  • Experience conducting code reviews and enforcing coding standards

Certifications (Required or In Progress)
  • MB-500: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Apps Developer
  • MB-300: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Core Finance and Operations

Core Competencies
