Job description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Elemet Manufacturing. The mission of the Facilities Maintenance Technician is to provide support to the Maintenance department and Elemet Group through general maintenance and repairs for assigned machines, routine groundskeeping and upkeep of office space and production facilities while supporting the Maintenance Team as needed with special projects.

Key Responsibilities
•    Perform annual and monthly maintenance of HVAC units and make service calls as needed
•    Service and trouble shoot air compressors
•    Maintain lighting throughout the facility, both indoor and outdoor
•    Inspect, monitor, and clean camera systems regularly
•    Monitor and perform general routine maintenance or repairs on air compressors, indoor and outdoor lighting, camera systems, plumbing needs, eye wash stations, overhead heaters, outdoor parking and driveways/sidewalks, and other equipment as needed 
•    Perform general office repairs such as patching and painting of walls, upkeep of office furniture, replacing light switches and outlets
•    Take responsibility for general groundskeeping and determine needs for repair, replacement, and upgrading as needed
•    Address roof leaks as needed
•    Communicate with external lawncare and snow removal companies as needed
•    Provide support to Maintenance Department on projects and tasks as needed 
•    Work collaboratively with colleagues to resolves issues and needs throughout the facility

Qualifications
•    At least 18 years of age or older
•    High school diploma or equivalent
•    Proven mechanical aptitude and familiarity with power and hand tools
•    Comfortability with heights and usage of ladders, lifts, and rooftop maintenance 

Skills and Competencies
•     Basic knowledge of general carpentry and repair 
•    High level of organizational and time management skills
•    Innate desire to stay busy and drive to continuously work towards a high-functioning organization 
•    Experience working in manufacturing facility a plus 

Physical Requirements
•    Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer
•    Standing, walking, and bending periodically
•    Must be able to lift 15-20 pounds occasionally
•    Engaging in repetitive movements of wrists, hands, and fingers - typing and/or writing
•    Receiving and responding to oral communication
