Title: RN Manager – Labor & Delivery


Location: Davie, FL


Schedule: Full-Time, Days (No Weekends)


Compensation: $90,000 – $129,000/year (based on experience; converted from $42.36–$62.00/hr)


Position Overview

A modern hospital in Broward County is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead its Labor & Delivery and PNU departments. This role oversees 27 FTEs, 20 postpartum beds, and a newborn nursery, supporting up to 1,500 births annually. The Nurse Manager will direct operations, manage staff performance, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and coordinate departmental activities with hospital administration to provide safe, high-quality maternal care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and evaluate operations of Labor & Delivery, PNU, and newborn nursery
  • Ensure compliance with TJC, CMS, AHCA, and state requirements
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and departmental budgets
  • Oversee staff performance, education, and professional development
  • Collaborate with hospital administration to align departmental goals with organizational strategy
  • Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives


Required Qualifications

  • Current Florida RN license (or compact eligibility)
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • BLS and ACLS required (within 30 days of hire if not current)
  • NRP required (within 90 days of hire)
  • STABLE certification (within 60 months of hire)
  • Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring (within 60 months of hire)
