Associate Tasks

• Provides customer expertise in printing, signs and graphics
• Demonstrates consultative behaviors in a retail environment to understand each customer’s individual needs
• Understands shipping product lines and recommends appropriate products & services
• Anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and finds solutions
• Ensures all customer problems are resolved quickly
• Takes complex customer orders using order systems and provides accurate pricing information
• Assembles packages for shipping: wrap items in protective wrapping, insert items into shipping containers, weigh packages, and affix labels
• Sets up and operates printing, binding, and other related equipment
• Maintain a safe, clean and orderly store
• Maintain confidentiality of customer data and careful handling of documents, media, and packages
• Process financial transactions using a Point-of-Sale terminal (POS), including handling cash and making change
• Takes preemptive action to prevent errors and waste

• Clean background capable of obtaining notary authority

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• 6+ months of specialized experience
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills

Required Abilities

• Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods
• Ability to move and lift 75 pounds
• Ability to bend/twist at the waist and knees
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members
• Ability to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure
• Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Print Production Press experience
• efi Fiery experience
• Canon PrismaPrepare experience
• Packaging and shipping experience
• Retail experience
• Familiarity with design software (specifically - InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, & Canva)
• Wordpress (or other) website design experience
