Introduction:

The customer is seeking a systems engineer to support planning for future architectures, infosec assurance and accreditation, configuration management, and system engineering for their legacy and future complex portfolio of data tools.

The candidate will identify, analyze, define, and coordinate user, customer, and stakeholder needs, translate them into technical requirements, and evaluate industry offerings to support strategic IT initiatives.

· Work with technical and analytical counterparts to define constraints and develop requirements and concepts of operations documentation.
· Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies
· Evaluate industry offerings to identify products and technologies to support strategic IT initiatives.
· Identify and manage dependencies with other systems and system elements.
· Provide conceptual design, prototype, and test cycles appropriate to a chosen technical solution.
· Coordinate and manage resolving issues impacting multiple groups within the organization.
· Assess system designs to validate them against technical parameters.
· Identify the hardware and applications needed to complete the development process.

Role:

· Demonstrated experience with system architecture, systems engineering concepts, and security
· Demonstrated experience with configuration management
· Demonstrated experience identifying technology gaps in current capabilities and processes
· Demonstrated experience developing and interfacing with APIs
· Demonstrated experience using AWS to include S3, EBS, RDS and EC2
· Demonstrated experience using Oracle and PostgreSQL databases
· Demonstrated experience developing and supporting applications using Java, JavaScript, and Python
