Centered Mind Counseling Services is seeking a select cohort of postdoctoral psychologists to join our distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowship Program. Our commitment is to provide comprehensive support and preparation so that our fellows emerge as some of the most highly skilled, newly licensed psychologists in Washington State.
We welcome candidates who specialize in working with children, teens, and adults across diverse areas of interest and clinical specialty.
Centered Mind Counseling Services is a place where your professional growth and development are valued and nurtured.Centered Mind Counseling Services (CMCS) is a comprehensive mental health group practice of experienced and caring psychologists, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, licensed therapists, and associate licensed therapists serving children, families, adults, and couples. We are seeking a dedicated group of postdoctoral fellows to join our team of collaborative health professionals.
CMCS works in close partnership with its affiliated practice, Centered Connections, which specializes in psychological assessment. All psychological evaluations are conducted through Centered Connections, and fellows in our Psychological Assessment Specialization gain dedicated experience within that specialized evaluation setting.
We have designed a comprehensive Postdoctoral Fellowship Program tailored to meet the unique requirements and developmental needs of postdoctoral fellows working toward full licensure. Fellows select one of three specialized training tracks, each pairing a focused caseload with structured supervision and didactic instruction.
Specialized Tracks at CMCSโข
EMDR Therapy Specialization: This track prepares fellows for specialized practice in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, with a focus on trauma, PTSD, and anxiety-related presentations across the lifespan. Fellows receive foundational EMDR training (Parts 1 and 2), engage in EMDR-specific supervision, and maintain a trauma-informed caseload. Upon successful completion, fellows are eligible to pursue EMDRPT-1 (EMDR Practitioner Level 1) certification.
โข
Child, Family, and Couples Specialization: Designed for clinicians seeking to develop expertise in youth and relational systems, this track emphasizes evidence-based approaches for children, adolescents, and families. Fellows access a library of specialized continuing education through PESI, participate in focused supervision, and manage a caseload composed primarily of child, family, and relational cases. The program develops competencies including parent coaching, school consultation, and age-appropriate risk assessment.
โข
Psychological Assessment Specialization: This track provides comprehensive training in affirming, strengths-based, and culturally responsive psychological evaluations across the lifespan. Fellows receive 20 hours of didactic instruction and complete 12 comprehensive assessments. The program focuses on four core domains: ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), and psychiatric disorders, with a strong emphasis on differential diagnosis and neurodiversity-affirming report writing. All assessments in this track are conducted through Centered Connections, our affiliated assessment practice.
