Job Description
Gpac is partnered with a client in Mishawaka, IN seeking a Nutritionist to support nutritional analysis, formulation development, and quality initiatives within their pet food manufacturing operations.
This role will work cross-functionally with quality, production, and procurement teams to ensure pet food formulations meet nutritional standards, regulatory requirements, and product performance goals.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with nutritional analysis and evaluation of feed ingredients and pet food formulations • Support development of new pet food products and balanced formulations • Conduct research on ingredient innovations and nutritional trends within the pet food industry • Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with nutritional standards and regulatory requirements • Prepare technical nutritional documentation and support internal reporting needs • Provide nutritional information and technical support to internal teams when needed • Maintain accurate records of formulation data and research findings • Collaborate with production and quality teams to support product performance and improvement initiatives • Participate in field visits, trials, and product evaluations as required
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Animal Nutrition, Animal Science, Food Science, or related field
  • Master’s degree in similar
  • 3-5 years of experience in a nutritionist or formulation role
  • Foundational understanding of animal nutrition and feed formulation principles
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain detailed documentation
  • Strong communication and teamwork skill
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
