Seasonal Scale Clerk - Taylorville, IL
This is a Seasonal Hourly level position.
Shift - Monday through Friday - 7:30AM - 4:00PM
Position Summary: ADM is seeking a reliable, safety-minded worker to join our grain operations team in Taylorville, Illinois. This position will assist in the daily functioning of the grain elevator by operating the scale house during business hours. The scale operator ensures the safe and efficient operations of weighing, grading, and data entry of inbound grain trucks. This is an office-type, controlled environment role.
Job Responsibilities:
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Operate a computer to perform data entry
  • Operate a joystick to take grain samples from inbound trucks
  • Operate radios to communicate with truck drivers and grain elevator operators
  • Operate grain grading equipment
  • Answer phones and messages to make account changes
Requirements
  • Commitment to ADM's goal of achieving a zero-injury safety culture
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, including safety procedures and operational guidelines
  • Strong attendance record and dependable work ethic
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
