Job Description
About the Team: We are looking for a full time, year round intern to join our team at ZF in Marysville! Our Maintenance team at ZF Axle Drives in Marysville, MI plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence for our customer, Stellantis. The team is focused on driving reliability and efficiency through proactive maintenance strategies and continuous improvement initiatives. As a Gear Engineering Intern, you will work closely with experienced Maintenance Superintendents, supporting standardized communication for Key Performance Indicators and contributing to projects aligned with plant goals. This collaborative environment offers hands-on exposure to world-class manufacturing processes and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on performance and productivity.
What you can look forward to as a Gear Engineering Intern:
  • Manage all KPI Dashboard and data collection for Facility and Production Maintenance.
  • Manage the PM and Ticket systems for Facilities, IT, and Production Maintenance.
  • Schedule, print and close all orders.
  • Update and edit all PMs in the system.
  • Create all new PMs as requested by supervisors.
  • Input all information and data for new equipment.
  • Edit and post all weekly communication documents on department boards.
  • Prepare and participate in TS16949 audits.

Your profile as a Gear Engineering Intern:
  • High School diploma (or equivalent) required and currently enrolled in college.
  • Strong computer skills required. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel.
  • Must be self-motivated with ability to prioritize and accept direction from multiple sources.
  • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be flexible to work off-shift hours when necessary, as Marysville is a 3-shift operation.
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
