About the Role: Post-Production Technician

The Post-Production Technician plays a vital role in the life cycle of our cannabis products-from harvest through packaging. Reporting to the Post-Production Supervisor, this hands-on role supports trimming, drying, curing, packaging, and labeling processes while ensuring compliance with strict quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily operations across post-production activities: harvesting, drying, curing, trimming, packaging, and labeling.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and compliant work environments in line with Sweetspot cleaning protocols.
  • Ensure all PPE requirements are met across all designated areas.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training guidance to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Handle and track METRC tags to ensure regulatory compliance for both plants and packaged items.
  • Participate in general facility cleaning (kitchens, break rooms, restrooms, etc.).
  • Assist the Cultivation team as needed with tasks in cultivation rooms.
  • Abide by all safety protocols per room, task, and equipment requirements.
  • Support Product & Processing Technicians with pre-roll production, packaging, and labeling.
  • Track and record weights of all materials throughout processing stages.
  • Dispose of plant and general waste properly, following all state and regulatory guidelines.

Trimming Responsibilities

  • Perform hand and/or machine trimming of cannabis flower efficiently and with attention to quality, during shifts of 8 hours or more (with ergonomic breaks and support provided).
  • Achieve daily trimming metrics provided by the Post-Production Supervisor.
  • Manicure and weigh flowers and plant byproducts for inventory tracking.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure a clean, pest-free, seedless final product.
  • Report any mold, mildew, pests, or other quality issues to the Post-Production Supervisor or General Manager.
  • Maintain a sanitized workstation throughout the shift.
