Job description

Job Title: Turret OperatorJob Description

The Turret Operator sets up and operates CNC turret punch presses and related metal fabrication equipment to produce high-quality parts for a fast-paced, growing manufacturing operation that supports the data center industry. This role requires the ability to work independently, interpret blueprints accurately, and meet tight deadlines on either a 2nd or 3rd shift schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Set up CNC turret punch presses and related metal fabrication machines autonomously according to production requirements and specifications.
  • Operate CNC laser, turret, punch press, or press brake equipment to fabricate metal components to precise measurements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine job requirements, tooling, and machine settings.
  • Select and install appropriate tooling, dies, and fixtures for each job, ensuring correct setup and alignment.
  • Monitor machine operations, make necessary adjustments, and ensure parts meet quality and dimensional specifications.
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and consistency, and identify any defects or deviations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following established safety and housekeeping procedures.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting production schedules and tight deadlines.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve production issues and improve processes.
  • Flexibly work required overtime to support production demands on 2nd or 3rd shift as needed.
Essential Skills
  • Hands-on experience operating CNC laser, turret punch, punch press, or press brake equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in setting up CNC machines and metal fabrication equipment independently.
  • Strong blueprint reading skills and the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment with tight deadlines.
  • Willingness and ability to work 2nd shift (2:00pm–10:00pm) or 3rd shift (10:00pm–6:00am) and be flexible with overtime requirements.
