Job description

Overview

The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Housekeeping Specialist to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences.
The Housekeeping Specialist will be responsible for cleaning the hotel rooms, hallways, bathrooms and public spaces.
 


Responsibilities
  • Maintain the guest corridors in an immaculate condition and with a fresh impression
  • Deliver guest requests and set up furniture items in guest rooms as requested
  • Remove items from hallways and transport to designated areas, including debris, room service food and beverage trays, unread newspapers, soiled linens, and trash
  • Mop and vacuum all the guest corridors
  • Wipe down and dust all the walls, light sconces, glass surfaces and fixtures in the guest corridors.
  • Empty trash from the trash cans in the guest corridors

Qualifications

  • 1 year of previous customer service or cleaning experience
  • Knowledge in and or experience with Forbes 4/5 Star service standards is preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required
  • Physical demands:
    • Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance
    • Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces
    • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
