Real Estate Paralegal

Location: Mount Pleasant, SC

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

Our client, a well-established boutique law firm, is seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join its growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys throughout the entire real estate closing process while providing exceptional service to clients, lenders, and other stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience handling residential real estate closings from start to finish and possess strong organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of residential real estate closings from contract through post-closing

  • Prepare and issue title commitments, Closing Protection Letters (CPLs), and title insurance policies

  • Review title documents and identify title-related issues

  • Prepare and review settlement statements (HUD/CDs) and other closing documents

  • Coordinate with clients, lenders, real estate agents, and attorneys throughout the closing process

  • Organize, maintain, and update legal files and closing documentation

  • Review and proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness

  • Complete all pre-closing and post-closing responsibilities in a timely manner

  • Ensure compliance with applicable real estate closing procedures and deadlines

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Real Estate Paralegal is required

  • Strong experience handling residential real estate closings from start to finish

  • Experience issuing title commitments, Closing Protection Letters (CPLs), and title insurance policies

  • Proficiency in preparing HUD/CD settlement statements

  • Experience reviewing title documents and resolving title-related matters

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, lenders, attorneys, and other parties involved in the closing process
