Position Overview

Better Living Psychotherapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our experienced team in Long Beach, California. This full-time position offers the flexibility of a remote work arrangement while primarily engaging with clients through our outpatient office. Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid mental health licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience providing mental health counseling.
  • A strong foundation in mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities, demonstrating cultural competence in therapeutic practices.
  • Exceptional crisis intervention skills with the ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on building rapport and trust with a diverse clientele.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and proficiency in using computer applications for documentation and communication.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience delivering psychotherapy in both individual and group settings using inclusive approaches that cater to varied client backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team enhancing coordinated care for clients.
  • Prior experience in crisis counseling or emergency psychological interventions.
