Job description

The General Manager position will be responsible for all aspectsof operations at the hotel level.

You will direct and coordinate hotel activities to obtainoptimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize full potential with abalanced focus on the hotelโ€™s mission, guests, employees, and ownersโ€™satisfaction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • o Delivering outstanding service to guests andleading others by example
  • o With the support of the Corporate OperationsTeam, develop service guidelines and ensure practices that are seamlesslyexecuted
  • o Build an inspired, collaborative, masterfulhospitality-minded team
  • o Monitor and track departmental operationsperformance
  • o Take the lead in ensuring a โ€œguests firstโ€approach
  • o Monitor and manage staffing to optimizeguest satisfaction while balancing within budget. The General Manager will beresponsible for approving payroll and reviewing and providing reasoningreporting for the month-end closing process. Experience with M3 accountingsoftware is preferred but not required.
  • o Serve as a mentor and develop relationshipswith Assistant General Manager, Sales, and hotel staff to support their growth,while simultaneously being a dedicated to personal growth, taking in all thereis to learn for your own professional development
  • o Participate in and carry out additionaltasks as assigned by Ownership and Corporate Office
REQUIREMENTS
  • o Thorough knowledge of all aspects of hoteloperations
  • o Strong people and time management skills
  • o Ability to assign or delegate work andauthority to others
  • o A degree in hotel management or a relatedfield or the equivalent of two years of experience in the hotel industry
  • o Marriott Brand experience is strongly preferredbut not required
