Enabling Connection, Discovery, and Self-Expression Through Commerce
Poshmark is seeking a Senior Counsel, Commercial to join its core Legal team and serve as a trusted advisor across the organization. Reporting to the Head of Legal, this role leads the commercial legal function, driving the structuring, negotiation, and execution of a wide range of commercial agreements-including partnerships, technology, professional services, marketing, and vendor contracts. The Senior Counsel will partner closely with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives, provide clear legal guidance, and advise on business and legal risks.
This position is responsible for managing and improving contract lifecycle processes, leveraging tools such as Ironclad and AI-enabled solutions to streamline workflows. The Senior Counsel will also develop and maintain legal templates, playbooks, and scalable processes, while providing counsel to product and technology teams on new features and launches. Advising on data privacy and security matters, particularly in connection with data processing agreements and privacy compliance, is a key aspect of the role.
The ideal candidate holds a J.D. from an accredited law school, is a member of the California bar (or eligible for Registered In-house Counsel status), and brings at least six years of relevant legal experience in both law firm and in-house settings. Demonstrated ability to independently draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements, familiarity with contract lifecycle management systems, and strong communication and organizational skills are essential. Experience supporting product or technology teams, advising on privacy compliance, and working with consumer platforms or marketplace business models is preferred.
