Mambo Seafood is a high-volume iconic Houston restaurant brand that has been in business since 1996. Mambo has 12 restaurants in the Greater Houston area, three location in San Antonio, and one franchised operation in the Rio Grande Valley. Mambo Seafood is poised for rapid growth!

Summary:
The Cashier is responsible for greeting customers, taking orders over the phone and in person, and answering questions that customers may have. Cashiers are responsible for processing customer payments through the Point of Sales (POS) system. Cashiers anticipate customers’ needs and exceed expectations.
Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities:
  • Must maintain a professional and welcoming attitude at work and practice Company service principles.
  • Greet all guests when they enter the restaurant.
  • Communicate with customers regarding menu offerings, limited time offers and daily specials.
  • Pack and sort to-go orders.
  • Enter food and beverage orders into the POS system.
  • Properly process customers’ payments and provide accurate change.
  • Clean and maintain cashier area before, after and throughout shift.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
EDUCATION amp; EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to speak, write and understand simple instructions in English.
  • Spanish-speaking is a plus, but not required.
  • Must be Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) Certified.
  • Must have a Food Handler Certificate.
  • Must be a team player and customer-service oriented.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
  • Familiarity with POS system preferred.
  • Basic computer skills are a plus.

Physical Requirements:
  • Stands and walks on uneven, slippery, and/or wet surface for at least 8 consecutive hours.
  • Speaks and listens in-person to staff and customers for at least 8 consecutive hours.
  • Speaks through radio and listens through earpiece for at least 8 consecutive hours.
  • Clearly observes customers in the dining room from up to 100 feet.
  • Routinely lifts, stoops, kneels, bends, pushes, and pulls up to 25 pounds, and reaches overhead.
  • Routinely carries full service tray.
  • Performs moderately strenuous activity to perform duties for at least 8 consecutive hours.
