Overview
The Onsite POS Lead is responsible for overseeing point-of-sale (POS) operations during events and daily operations, ensuring all systems, staff, and sales stations are fully prepared and functioning efficiently. This role serves as the primary on-site resource for POS systems and cashier support, delivering exceptional guest service while maintaining compliance with company standards, cash handling procedures, and operational excellence.
This role pays an hourly rate of $14.00-$19.25

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary on-site resource for POS and ID scanning systems, ensuring all devices are fully operational prior to doors opening and throughout the event or shift.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting guests with transaction questions, resolving concerns professionally, and maintaining a positive front-of-house presence.
  • Train, coach, and support cashiers on POS systems and ID scanning software, ensuring accuracy in transactions and adherence to company procedures.
  • Monitor cashier performance to ensure transactions are processed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with cash handling and reconciliation standards.
  • Act as the liaison between cashiers and management, communicating operational updates, staffing needs, and system concerns promptly.
  • Provide real-time troubleshooting and resolution for payment issues, connectivity disruptions, hardware malfunctions, and scanning errors to minimize service interruptions.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash drawer counts, sales reconciliation, and reporting discrepancies to management.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of cashier stations, ensuring equipment is handled properly and meets company standards.
  • Support operations team with event or daily setup requirements, including:
    • Verifying WiFi connectivity and system functionality.
    • Ensuring POS devices are properly configured and tested.
    • Ensuring sales stations are fully stocked and guest-ready.
    • Placement and visibility of required signage.
    • Proper display of required permits and compliance documentation.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in POS operations, cashier supervision, or hospitality/event operations preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cash handling procedures and reconciliation processes.
  • Experience troubleshooting POS systems, payment platforms, or related technology preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to train and support team members.
