Facilities Technician

Company: Bloom Energy
Location: Fremont, CA
Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM, 3/4 rotating schedule - OT every shift
Schedule: Thursday, Friday, Saturday + alternating Wednesday

Pay: $35/hr + 15% differential


About the Role

Bloom Energy is seeking a skilled and dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing facilities. This role is critical to ensuring building systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all codes and standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong technical knowledge across building maintenance systems.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across facility systems

  • Address issues such as leaks, electrical outages, plumbing problems, and HVAC inefficiencies

  • Monitor and maintain systems including HVAC, alarms, and fire safety systems

  • Ensure compliance with local building and safety codes

  • Conduct inspections and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities

  • Perform general maintenance tasks (painting, wall patching, flooring upkeep, furniture repair)

  • Support office moves and facility reconfigurations

  • Coordinate with contractors and external service providers

  • Prioritize and manage daily work orders and preventive maintenance schedules

  • Communicate progress, delays, and updates to management

  • Create purchase orders (POs) and requisitions (PRs) for materials and supplies

  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed

  • Maintain a safe working environment and participate in safety programs


Qualifications & Skills
  • 5+ years of facilities maintenance or equivalent experience

  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks/projects

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Team-oriented with strong cross-functional collaboration skills


Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (travel between buildings required)

  • Availability to work overnight B2 shift schedule



Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.25 per hour
