Job Title: Regional Maintenance Trainer Fuel III

Location: Los Angeles, California, Additional Locations San Francisco, California

Supervisor Title: Regional Maintenance Training Supervisor

Job Summary:

The RMT III Fuel Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering technical training programs for field technicians supporting fuel systems and forecourt equipment. This role ensures technicians are proficient in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and compliance of fuel dispensing systems, tank monitoring, and POS integration within retail fueling environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in retail fuel systems and forecourt equipment
  • Certifications in: Gilbarco Veeder-Root (GVR) and or Wayne, Veeder-Root tank monitoring systems, At least one POS platform (Verifone or Passport ), State-specific fuel system certifications as required

Technical Knowledge & Expertise:

  • Fuel Dispensing & Forecourt Systems: Gilbarco dispensers and related hardware/software, Incon tank monitoring systems, Veeder-Root ATG (Automatic Tank Gauge) systems Wayne Dispensers
  • Point of Sale (POS) Systems: Verifone POS systems, Passport POS systems, Integration between POS and forecourt controllers
  • Compliance & Regulatory: Fuel system safety and environmental regulations, Leak detection systems and monitoring requirements, State and local compliance standards

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver structured technical training programs for new and existing technicians
  • Conduct field training, ride-alongs, and hands-on system demonstrations
  • Train on installation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of fuel systems
  • Develop and maintain training materials, SOPs, and job aids
  • Ensure technicians understand and follow regulatory and safety compliance requirements
  • Evaluate technician performance and identify skill gaps
  • Support rollout of new technologies, equipment, and system upgrades

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong understanding of forecourt-to-POS integration and communication systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot both hardware and software-related issues
  • Effective communication and instructional delivery skills
  • Experience working in retail / C-store fuel environments
  • Prior training or leadership experience preferred

Work Environment:

  • Combination of classroom instruction and field-based training
  • Travel required 50% of the time for on-site technician support and regional training

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 Hourly
