Position Infrastructure Administrator FTE 1.0  Location District Compensation  $84,656/year-$93,985/year Anticipated Start Date 07/06/2026 Additional Information Independent Position, 261 Duty Days.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Infrastructure Administrator provides multi-specialty technical support for audio-video hardware, camera systems, public address systems, fiber optic infrastructure, structured cabling, uninterruptible power supplies, electronic security fixtures, and life safety electronic infrastructure. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Install, test and repair structured low voltage cabling and fiber optics.
  2. Install, maintain and repair auditorium and theatrical audio-video equipment, lighting, and low-voltage cabling.
  3. Installation, configuration, and repair of public address systems, bells, clock systems, lockdown systems, and public address infrastructure and devices.
  4. Provide support and oversight of professional-grade audio systems district-wide.
  5. Provide support and repair of all stadium audio-video, HUDL camera, lighting, and POS systems.
  6. Digital Signage Repair and support digital signage, scoreboards, athletic timing systems, and marquee signage.
  7. Provide direct support for classroom Audio-Video systems including projectors and interactive smart panels.
  8. Provide building level staff training.
  9. Vendor Management Provide oversight, contract management, and support to low-voltage contractors and vendors.
  10. Assist with the project management and planning of audio-video and low-voltage projects.
  11. Create and maintain documents, procedures, maps, and diagrams.
  12. Other duties as assigned.   

JOB SPECIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, LICENSE, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):

Required:

  1. High School diploma or equivalent
  2. Current Minnesota Power Limited Technician Licensure.
  3. 3+ years of verifiable experience in the installation and repair of audio-visual cabling & devices, electronics repair, structured cabling installation, and low-voltage systems installation and configuration; preferably in a commercial, institutional, or industrial setting.
  4. Skilled at the installation and repair of structured cabling, to include cable tracing and testing procedure.
  5. Professional level understanding of electrical circuit concepts and design. Ability to diagnose advanced low voltage circuit faults and understand troubleshooting theory and procedure.
  6. Experience with coaching and training others in the operation and troubleshooting of low voltage circuits and devices.
  7. Able to draft, interpret, layout, plan and understand blueprints, electrical schematics, shop drawings and technical specification manuals.
  8. Willingness to attend QSC Q-SYS Training within 6 months of hire.
  9. Willingness to attend Audio Enhancement EPIC Training within 6 months of hire.
  10. Valid driver's license.
  11. Prompt, regular and reliable attendance.
  12. Communicates with students, parents, co-workers, supervisors, and the community in a positive and responsive way that is consistently welcoming and enhances effective work relationships.
  13. Demonstrates an appreciation of diversity in all interactions and job functions.

Desired:

  1. Technical Diploma or higher in automation, electronics, electrical construction, or engineering technology.
  2. Experience with install and repair of fiber optic cabling.
  3. Experience with Audio Enhancement EPIC systems.
  4. Experience with QSC Q-SYS systems.
  5. Experience with Crestron programming and hardware
  6. Experience with Dante AVoIP
