Job description

Deployment Specialist – Maverick Payments About the Position

Under the direction of the Manager of Deployment & Operational Projects, the Deployment Specialist is responsible for day‑to‑day deployment tasks including programming, testing, and shipping payment processing hardware.

  • Reviews assigned orders and ticket requests via company dashboard.
  • Ensures required client information is received, available and accurate, including payment and qualification requirements.
  • Checks out and assigns requested hardware ensuring department processes are followed.
  • Downloads and programs point of sale hardware according to technical specifications and client level requests.
  • Tests point of sale devices and related peripherals to ensure programming accuracy.
  • Packs point of sale equipment in a neat and professional manner ensuring company guidelines are met.
  • Coordinates shipping with team shipping expert.
  • Works directly with partner, technical and support teams to ensure escalations and expedited requests are handled prior to the shipping deadline.
  • Communicates updates via email as needed and/or through the company dashboard.
  • Occasional physical work including, without limitation, light lifting (up to 25 lbs.).
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 2-3 years industry experience in support or technical related role.
  • Experience and knowledge with pricing & residuals.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong general aptitude for technical processes.
  • Knowledgeable in point‑of‑sale systems and related peripherals.
  • Experience in call center environments.
  • Experience with a multitude of online POS systems including but not limited to Auth.net, NMI, Swipe Simple Gateway, Valor VT, Internal Gateway, IPOS Gateway, Accept Blue Gateway.
  • Required Experience with Fiserv proprietary equipment including but not limited to FD series & Clover POS emphasizing a high level of both Deployments and Technical Support knowledge.
  • Ability to listen to others and communicate in an effective manner.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical related directions in verbal and written form.
  • Possesses strong analytical and research skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously while producing a high output of quality work.
  • Ability to ensure that one's own and other's work and information are complete and accurate. The ability to carefully prepare for meetings and presentations. The ability to follow up with others to ensure that agreements and commitments have been fulfilled.
  • Ability to support, promote, and ensure alignment with the organization's vision and values. The ability to understand how an organization must change considering internal and external trends and influences.
  • Works on‑site at Company’s Calabasas office.
