Job description

Overview

The Loss Prevention Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned territory. They utilize tools to minimize loss to the Company, including but not limited to identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring the store's physical security, auditing safety processes and driving a shrink elimination culture in the store.


Overview of Responsibilities
  • Conduct and direct internal and external investigative activities throughout the assigned area
  • Prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting incidents and recoveries, preserving evidence, interacting with law enforcement, and testifying in criminal and civil court actions
  • Provide new store orientation training as needed
  • Respond to Loss Prevention and operational concerns of all team members and remain focused on store specific business objectives while supporting key loss prevention and operational responsibilities.
  • Provide critical incident 24-hour telephone response, 7 days a week
  • Travel to store locations as needed for investigations, interviews, audits, and training
  • Immediately address all reported Level 1 Workplace Violence.
  • Provide direct support to Human Resource and Employee Relations for all reported Level 2 Workplace Violence incidents.
  • Provide training to management and team members as needed on shrink controls, safety, and loss prevention initiatives
  • Support shrink controls and loss prevention program in stores to meet inventory shrink goals
  • Support the shrink programs in high-shrink stores to ensure compliance levels meet company standard and shrink goals are achieved
  • Support the safety team by ensuring compliance aligned with OSHA standards
  • Ensure compliance and participation in the organization’s Awareness Program

Qualifications
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in loss prevention/safety in a multi-store environment
  • Required completion of Wicklander-Zulawski basic and advanced interview training
  • Excellent phone interviewing skills
  • POS Analytics experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite; including Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Ability to handle a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Travel required 25-30%
