What are Portugal drivers?

Portugal drivers are professional motorists responsible for transporting people or goods within Portugal. They may work as taxi drivers, delivery drivers, chauffeurs, or truck drivers, depending on the sector. Their duties include ensuring the safe and timely transport of passengers or cargo, following traffic laws, and maintaining their vehicles. Many Portugal drivers must hold specific driving licenses and may need to be familiar with local routes and regulations. Good customer service skills and reliability are also important for this role.

What are some common challenges faced by drivers in Portugal, and how can they be addressed?

Drivers in Portugal often encounter challenges such as navigating narrow city streets, adapting to varying traffic regulations across regions, and managing busy tourist areas during peak seasons. To address these issues, it's important to stay updated on local traffic laws, use GPS and mapping tools for route planning, and maintain clear communication with dispatch or clients. Building local knowledge and staying patient during high-traffic periods can help ensure a smoother driving experience.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Portugal Driver, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Portugal Driver, you need a valid Portuguese or EU driving license, thorough knowledge of road safety regulations, and strong navigation skills. Familiarity with GPS devices, fleet management systems, and sometimes tachograph cards or other compliance tools is often required. Excellent time management, customer service orientation, and adaptability under varying traffic conditions distinguish top performers in this role. These skills ensure safe, efficient, and reliable transportation while meeting legal requirements and customer expectations.

Job description

Business Developer Iberia

Drive TicketSwap's growth in Iberia by building strong event partnerships and bringing more fans to the experiences they love.

At TicketSwap, our mission is simple: by bringing fans and experiences together on our marketplace, we enable fans to go to more events they love and support organizers in building lasting success.

With over 19 million fans across 42 countries, we're building a safe, secure, and fair way to experience live events, from festivals and concerts to sports and theatre.

To accelerate our growth in the Iberian market (Spain & Portugal), we're looking for a Business Developer (Senior) who's ready to unlock new opportunities and make TicketSwap the go-to resale partner for organizers across the region.

Are you ready to help shape the future of live events in Iberia? Keep reading.

What You'll Do

As a Business Developer for Iberia, you'll expand our event organizer partnerships across Spain and Portugal. You'll be a commercial driver, someone who understands the market and knows how to turn conversations into long-term collaborations.

You will:

  • Identify, approach, and close new event organizer and ticketing partnerships across Spain and Portugal
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the live events industry
  • Drive revenue growth in the region by increasing event adoption
  • Own the full sales cycle: from prospecting and pitching to negotiation and contract closure
  • Represent TicketSwap at industry events, conferences, and key partner meetings across Iberia
  • Collaborate closely with Account Management and Operations to ensure smooth partner onboarding
  • Translate local market feedback into actionable insights for internal teams
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments in Spain and Portugal
  • Develop regional growth strategies together with the Iberian Region Lead
  • Track performance against targets and proactively adjust your approach where needed
  • Contribute to improving internal sales processes and tooling
Job RequirementsAbout You

We're looking for someone who combines commercial drive with genuine curiosity about the live events industry.

Besides that, you:

  • Have at least 5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales, ideally within ticketing, events, marketplaces, or tech
  • Know the Spanish market well and understand how the live entertainment ecosystem works (Portugal is a strong plus)
  • Speak fluent Spanish and English (both written and spoken). Portuguese is a plus
  • Are confident managing stakeholders at different seniority levels
  • Enjoy building relationships and earning trust over time
  • Are comfortable negotiating contracts and discussing commercial terms
  • Take ownership and work independently, while staying closely aligned with your team
  • Use data to inform decisions and prioritize opportunities
  • Are proactive, creative, structured, and not afraid to open new doors
  • Care about fairness and transparency in the live event space
  • Live in Spain (preferably Madrid or Barcelona region) and understand that traveling within Iberia is part of the role
Why You'll Love It Here
  • Work for a mission-driven marketplace that makes live events safer and fairer
  • Have real ownership over a key growth region
  • Collaborate with passionate colleagues who care about impact, not ego
  • Join a fast-scaling international company with big ambitions
  • Hybrid-friendly work setup, with flexibility to travel within Iberia
Practical Details
  • Full-time role
  • Focus on the Iberian region (regular travel expected)
  • Fully remote role in Spain, with options for co-working space
