This position is with WA Imports, a subsidiary of Forever Cheese, LLC., based in Hebron, IL.

Job Title: Truck Driver

Location: Hebron, IL - Fully On-Site

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Sr Operations Manager

Pay Range: $25-$28 per hour | Weekly Pay | Overtime Available

Exemption Status: Non-exempt

About The Role: The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transport of WA Imports products to assigned destinations. Operating out of our Hebron, IL location, this role requires a strong work ethic, a clean driving record, and a commitment to upholding all DOT regulations and company safety standards. This is a local route position with a standard 40-hour work week. During peak periods or high-volume days, schedules may extend up to 50 hours per week. All overtime hours are compensated in accordance with applicable law.

Represent WA Imports and Forever Cheese professionally at every customer location.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks safely and in full compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Transport goods to assigned destinations on schedule via local daily routes.
• Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
• Secure loads properly and ensure cargo is fully protected during transport.
• Maintain accurate logs, delivery records, and inspection reports in compliance with DOT requirements.
• Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding routes, traffic, delays, or any issues encountered.
• Follow all company policies related to safety, vehicle care, and fuel usage.
• Represent the company professionally at all customer locations.

Carry out any additional duties that may be assigned or requested.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid CDL (Class A or B preferred; Class C minimum) with appropriate endorsements if required.
• Clean and acceptable driving record (MVR required).
• Ability to pass DOT physical, drug, and alcohol screenings.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.

Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to safely enter and exit the truck cab and trailer.
